Race Details

A cold and rain-soaked second round of Mustang Challenge is officially in the books, and Wheelhouse Motorsports delivered an impressive performance despite some of the toughest conditions of the season. Battling unusually cool track temperatures and a delayed second race due to unexpected rain, the team secured podium finishes in both races over the weekend.

Satullo quickly proved to be one to watch in the tricky weather conditions. After qualifying third, he stayed within striking distance of the front runners and refused to make things easy for them. His determination paid off with well-earned third-place finish in race one.

He followed that strong showing with an even better performance in race two, securing a second-place finish and marking his strongest weekend of the season so far.

Tait also had a standout weekend. Starting from second position in race one, he pushed hard through the challenging cold conditions and managed to take the lead with just seven minutes remaining. Although he was unable to hold onto the top spot, he still secured a solid third-place finish.

Race two told a different story. Once again starting second, Tait expertly handled the wet track conditions and powered his way to victory, taking home the first-place trophy in an impressive performance.

Will Lucas faced a tougher start to the weekend, finishing fifth in race one after struggling to find hid rhythm. However, the wet condition in race two seems to suit him perfectly.

Starting sixth, Lucas wasted no time moving forward, making his first pass just four minutes into the race to jump to fourth. Maintaining that momentum, he continued to push, ultimately working his way onto the podium with a strong third-place finish.

Joseph Dederichs experienced a similar weekend of ups and downs. An early tire issue in race one hindered his results, but he bounced back impressively in race two.

Starting fifth in his class, Dederichs methodically worked his way through the field. Without drawing much attention, he steadily advanced positions and ultimately secured a podium finish, stepping onto the third-place spot for Wheelhouse Motorsports.

After an action-packed and unpredictable weekend at Laguna Seca, Wheelhouse Motorsports now turns its focus to round three at Mid-Ohio.
